Vh1's Single Ladies Gets Cleared for Season 2

VH1 has renewed their new hit series, Single Ladies, for a second season. The series stars Stacey Dash, LisaRaye McCoy, and Charity Shea as best friends navigating the Atlanta social scene. It debuted in May with solid ratings, and a second season will begin filming in late 2011 and air in 2012.

“Our viewers have fallen for Single Ladies and its honest, modern take on love, female friendship and dating,” said Jeff Olde, executive vice president of original programming & production, VH1. “We’re extremely pleased to give the audience another great season of the series they love.”

“My partner Shakim and I are so excited that Single Ladies has been received so well,” said Flavor Unit Entertainment executive producer Queen Latifah. “We knew from the beginning this show was going to appeal to people everywhere; it’s funny, sexy and smart. We are so happy that we were able to join with VH1 to find such a great home for this incredible show.”

The finale of the first season of Single Ladies airs Aug. 8. That's too soon!
