Watch The Throne has became the highest selling iTunes album in history, beating out Coldplay with about 290,000 digital album sales it’s first week out. Watch the Throne broke Coldplay's previous record with 2008's Viva La Vida, which sold 155,000 copies. Upon its digital release last week, Watch the Throne held the number one spot in 23 countries worldwide. Final first-week sales, inclusive of digital and physical units, will be reported on Wednesday.
